Finds Direction

I help you understand your data so you can make smarter decisions, spot problems early, and grow with confidence.

WHAT I HELP WITH

Not sure what your data is telling you? That’s where I come in.I can help you get clarity on things like:

  • What’s selling (and what’s not)

  • Where you might be losing money

  • Monthly sales trends and performance

  • Customer behavior and buying patterns

  • Inventory issues and slow-moving products

  • Marketing results — what’s working vs. what’s not

EXAMPLES OF WHAT I DO

Project: Paws & Profits — Dog Grooming Salon Performance DashboardThe Business Problem:
A dog grooming salon needed visibility into what was driving revenue, which staff were performing, and how well they were retaining customers — but that data was scattered across five separate tables with no unified view.
What I Did:
Cleaned and connected five relational tables (appointments, customers, groomers, services, payments) using Power Query, built a dashboard in Power BI, and created DAX measures to calculate key business metrics.
Questions I Set Out to Answer:
-Which services generate the most revenue?
-Which groomers are busiest — and which are most profitable?
-What does the appointment completion rate look like?
-How loyal is the customer base?
What the Data Revealed:
-Full Groom services account for the largest share of revenue by a significant margin.
-Groomer workload and revenue track closely, but notable gaps exist between some groomers — suggesting differences in service mix.
-79.5% of appointments are completed, with 11% cancellations and 9.5% no-shows.
-100% of customers are repeat visitors, indicating strong retention.
Tools Used:
Power Query · Power BI · DAX

Project: Sales Performance Analysis — Retail Chain DashboardThe Business Problem:
A multi-location retail chain needed clarity on where sales were coming from, which customer segments were driving revenue, and how departments and regions compared — without a unified view across their data.
What I Did:
Converted and structured raw Excel data across multiple tables, used SQL to query and explore the dataset, then built a branded Power BI dashboard to surface key business insights.
Questions I Set Out to Answer:
-Which store locations generate the highest sales volume?
-Which age groups and genders spend the most?
-Which departments are driving the most revenue?
-What is the average order value across the business?
What the Data Revealed:
-Sales are relatively consistent across all five MegaMart locations, with the top store outperforming the lowest by less than 200 units.
-Male customers account for 56.4% of total sales, but the gap isn't dramatic.
-Electronics dominate department sales at 46%, nearly equal to Fashion and Groceries combined.
-Older age groups outspend younger customers across both genders.
Tools Used
Excel · SQL · Power BI · DAX

WHY VECTOVA

You don’t need another tool — you need clarity. Most small business owners aren't short on data. They're short on time to figure out what it's actually saying — and short on someone who understands both the numbers and what it's like to run a business day to day. You're making decisions constantly. Staffing, inventory, marketing, pricing. And a lot of those decisions are getting made on instinct because the data feels like one more thing to deal with. That's the gap Vectova fills.
Not just analysis — but context. Not just charts — but answers to the questions that actually keep you up at night.

Because if you don't understand your data, you don't really understand your business.

ABOUT ME

HI! I'm Amber.I've worked more roles than I can count — retail floors, restaurant counters, pizza delivery, turned a hobby into an online business, and was lucky enough to stay home for 12 years to raise my kid. While working my last role, I added an analytics certification from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville on top of all of it. That kind of life doesn't fit neatly on a résumé, but it builds something a fresh-faced college grad just doesn't have yet: a real, ground-level understanding of how businesses actually run.I've watched decisions get made on gut feeling while the real answers were sitting in the numbers the whole time. I know what it looks like when labor is creeping up, when a slow season hits harder than it should have, when something feels off but nobody can name it.That's not just a data problem. That's a visibility problem.I built Vectova because small business owners deserve the same quality of insight that big businesses take for granted — without the corporate price tag or the consultant who's never actually worked a floor.Because vibes do not equal KPI's.

FAQ's

FAQ's“I don’t really have data…”
You probably do — it’s just scattered. That’s normal, and I can help with that.
“Do I need special software?”
Nope. I work with what you already have.
“Is my data safe?”
Yes. Your data stays private and is never shared. I’m also happy to sign an NDA.
“What kind of businesses do you work with?”
Mostly small retail and service-based businesses, but I can work with just about any data.
“What about pricing? How much does this cost?”
Pricing depends on your business and what you need.
Once I take a look at your data and understand your goals, I’ll recommend an approach and we can go over options together.
